Telemedicine is not covered across all states at this time.

Coverage and benefits for traditional therapy and counseling services change from one health insurance company to another and from plan to plan

In many cases, before you can get reimbursed by your insurance company, your therapist would have to diagnose you with an addiction or mental disorder. This diagnosis would be sent to the insurance company and recorded in your medical file. In some cases, the therapist would also have to provide additional clinical information to the insurance company, such as treatment plans, summaries or copies of the entire record.

Telehealth is the use of electronic information and telecommunications technologies to support long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related education, public health and health administration.

Yes, We use a cloud-based telehealth software service.

The service provides a secure, cloud-based software that enables us to communicate and interact with our consumers via customized video conferencing and by supporting patient management functionality.

We use a completely browser-based platform, so all you need is a computer or phone with a built-in camera and an adequate internet connection. You will also need a valid email address to log into the video conferencing.

If your computer does not have an internal camera, an external one can be purchased at many retailers.

Telemedicine not only provides a comfortable secure setting for care but can also help improve outcomes. Patients are comfortable having conversations from their “known” environments. Click here to see how clients often prefer video conferencing to in-person treatment in a clinical environment.

You are not limited in the number of messages you can have with your counselor. The frequency of your video sessions would vary based on the plan purchased and the availability and the interaction between you and your counselor.

For example, some people have few short interactions every week, while some people may prefer to have one very long and thorough session. Your usage patterns are also likely to change over time. You may use the service extensively during a time of great need and then use it sparsely at other times. Your counselor will try to accommodate your changing needs in a timely manner.
